How much is Private Pilot? Our Private Pilot training is about $8,500 and FAA Part 141 approved. FAA minimum course requirements are 35 hours of flight training and 35 of Private Pilot Ground School (Online Ground School). The cost of Private Pilot training are based upon minimum requirements and aircraft selected.
We do offer discovery flights to prospected flight students. A discovery flight is usual about one hour long. Prospected flight students will get a brief overview of our flight training operation during this discovery flight.
Florida Flyers offers hour building within its FAA approved Part 141 programs or to meet FAA Part 61 requirements. We do not offer hour building or aircraft rental to outside pilots. Hour building is only available for our enrolled flight students.

All previous flight times that are documented and conducted under ICAO may be recognized towards any flight training program requirements. Foreign pilots will need a letter of verification from the FAA to have their international pilot licenses recognized.
The M1 Visa is for vocational training such as flight training while the F1 Visa is an educational visa that is being issued usually by Universities. Some flight schools have approved educational courses that are eligible for an F1 Visa. With the M1 Visa gaining hands-on experience is very limited, F1 Visa students may be able to work in the aviation industry as flight instructors or pilots for mostly up to 2 years within their OPT.
Part 141 flight schools have FAA approved courses that must meet certain criteria and follow a course outline. Part 141 flight training is well documented and each lesson is clearly outlined and graded. Part 61 flight training does not have course outlines. It does not follow a course outline but FAA minimum requirements for each pilot certificate or rating must be met. There is no lesson plan or sequence to be followed. Part 61 flight training usually requires more flight training time and may be provided by any certified flight instructor.
M1 Visa students are not allowed to travel or take a break from their flight training, unless the flight school goes on a complete break. F1 Visa students are eligible to travel and to take vacations, such as semester breaks.

How to transfer flight schools as international student? Within the first six months of your arrival, you can easily transfer from one flight school to another flight academy by just contacting the flight school’s SEVIS Designated School Official and request a school-out transfer to another SEVIS approved flying school. Once the School Official has initiated the flight school transfer, the new flight academy will be able to see and transfer your DHS Form I-20.

The modular EASA ATPL flight training is initially conducted as FAA flight training. A simple conversion of 5 hours VFR, 5 hours IFR and 5 hours Multi Engine Training including FNTP simulator training will be done at our approved EASA ATO in Europe.
The entire course will take about 15-18 months to complete including the EASA ATPL skill test.
